Julie, Bill and Lucy are visiting for Christmas and Julie brought her camera and I was able to download some of the pictures from right before Thanksgiving of our girls playing together. There were lots of cute ones so enjoy!

Getting ready for Christmas

As you can see, we've been busy around our house getting ready for Christmas. Dan is on vacation thru the end of the year so we've had lots of time to be together as a family. We made sugar cookies and have been enjoying eating them. Yesterday we went to visit Santa and I think this was the first time that Lia actually sat on his lap. In the past, she's always been very wary of him and would only consent to stand near him. And of course we went to Build-a-Bear and used Lia's birthday coupon to buy a holiday moose with light up ornaments on his ears. I told Lia no more stuffed animals, but he was so cute and both girls loved him so he came home with us. And we also made a cute Christmas plates with Lucy and Auntie Julie that had Lia, Chloe and Lucy's hand prints on it. I know this is something we'll treasure over the years! And of course, as always we remember the true reason we celebrate this season of the year - JESUS!!

P.S. Does anyone ever notice that I have a very hard time getting Chloe to look at the camera let alone smile for me when I want to take a picture - very frustrating!!!!

The next birthday girl

We had a really fun weekend with Auntie Julie and Lucy and Nana and Papa coming to stay to celebrate Chloe's birthday. On Saturday night we had Karin, Steve and Miss Kate join us all for pizza and cake and ice cream and PRESENTS!! The three little girls were just so darling together and Lia was such a good big sister/helper with them all. Today is Chloe's actual birthday and we went out for dinner and then opened our presents for her. Enjoy the pictures of my sweet little babycakes : )

Birthday Girl!!!

Friday December 4th was Lia's seventh birthday! I seriously can't believe she's seven already!!! The day started with about seven inches of snow and school was canceled. So Lia and Chloe headed outside to play in the snow. Then later in the afternoon four of her friends came over for pizza, cake and ice cream (the cake is supposed to look like a sleeping bag by the way), playing the Wii and watching movies. Two of her friends, Jane and Hannah, spent the night and fun staying up really late. You can see from the pictures, everyone had a wonderful time. Hope you had a very Happy Birthday sweetie!!!

P.S. Chloe is officially a bag lady now. She so enjoyed carrying around all the empty present bags and pretending she was a big girl : )
