Christmas at home

Well this year for the first time since Dan and I have been married we stayed at home. Lia woke up yesterday morning not feeling well and running a fever so Nana and Papa couldn't come as originally planned. I was concerned that she wouldn't be ok for Christmas this morning because she was running a fever of 102 when I went to bed last night. But she woke up this morning with no fever and felt much improved so Christmas was saved.

Chloe's big gift was a dollhouse that Dan and I put together. But truthfully, I think she had just as much fun with the stickers we bought her. You can see the pictures of her sitting in her new purple tutu (which she loved!!) in front of her dollhouse just working on her sticker book. Figures!

Lia's big gift was a Barbie dollhouse. And when I say big I mean tall as you can see from the pictures!! She had no idea the really huge wrapped box was for her because I told her I'd bought a storage shed for Dan. She was totally surprised when she helped Dan open his present only to find that it wasn't a storage shed at all :-) I was so proud of her though because she was totally content with the computer game and board game and the pillow pet she'd gotten. She really wasn't expecting to get anything else. Tomorrow we're going to Dan's parent's house for a celebration with that side of the family. And then we're planning on heading up to my sister's house to see my parents, Julie, Bill and Lucy.

We're so thankful that our families live fairly close and we're able to be with everyone during the holidays. And we're beyond grateful to God for sending His son so we even have a reason to celebrate!
