Third time is a charm

Yep another tooth is gone...... That makes three for Lia. And they are all on the bottom so far. As usual the new permanent tooth was sitting right behind the baby tooth so I expect that she'll only have an empty space for a couple of days. She has another tooth that's almost ready to come out as well on the bottom and it too has the permanent tooth behind it. I'll let you know when we hit four.

Dancing Queen!

We went to visit my parents this weekend because Julie, Bill and Lucy were going to be there as well. I got some cute video of the little girls dancing. Chloe was really grooving while Lucy preferred the classic "I'm riding my horse" style of dance. They were so cute together!!

P.S. Does anyone else think Chloe looks like Elaine from "Seinfeld" when she dances : )

Two Wheelin' champ

After all our company went home today, Lia decided she would try to ride her two-wheeler bike again. She tried last summer but just couldn't get the hang of it. But today, she did it!!!! It only took her about 15 minutes of trying and she totally had the hang of it. She first practiced on her little tiny bike and then once she got that under control she switched to her big bike. Dan and I are SO PROUD of our little girl!!!!!!!!!!!!

The big hunt!

Julie, Bill and Lucy came this weekend along with Nana and Papa. Karin, Steve and Kate came for the afternoon and we had an Easter egg hunt and Jackie attempted to get some good pictures of all four girls in their matching dresses. It was hard to get all the girls to sit still and look at the camera at the same time especially when the three little ones were all teething and drooling like crazy. But Jackie did a great job despite some tears here and there. Then later we all went out for a lovely belated birthday dinner for me and then home for chocolate cake and ice cream. It's been a great day!!!

Getting ready for bed

A couple of cute pictures of my girls getting ready for bed. Notice how Miss Chloe is copying how Lia brushes her hair out. She loves her big sister!!

Free Woolie

Earlier in the fall Lia found a cute little Arctiidae Caterpillar. She really wanted to keep him so we went out on the internet and read all about them and found out that they hibernate during the winter so it was possible to put them in an airtight container and put them in your fridge for the winter. So we very carefully made "Woolie" an appropriate hibernation habitat and he wintered in our fridge. Now preparations are under way to get him ready for the spring. Lia and I took him out of his original winter habitat and we made him and new and bigger one complete with dandilion plants for him to eat. And yes, we did check to make sure he was still alive. We saw his little feet moving and everything so life in our fridge must agree with him. We are planning on putting his container outside in another week or so but for now he remains safely tucked away in the fridge. We are hoping that we'll see him spin his cocoon and hatch when it gets warmer. Wish us luck!
