Our exciting reunion
Well when my friend Jodi and I were planning our travel group's reunion, we had no idea it would be so memorable for so many different reasons. The first reason of course was that we had eight of our original twenty families attend so it was wonderful to see all the girls together again having so much fun getting reacquainted. There were lots of group games of "ring around the rosie" and lots of group hugs. But what made it memorable as well was that our state went into some kind of monsoon season for that whole week and so the place where we were supposed to stay lost electricity the very first evening we were there when we were at dinner. So in the end, we had to leave and drive an hour south to another camp that our first place had recommended that had room to accomodate us. It turned out to be a nice place with even more things for the kids to be able to do than our first choice. We did lots of fun things, despite having heavy rains on Fri. night and Sat. morning, like going down the huge waterslide, playing at the beach, having a hayride and a campfire with smores and sparklers, and visiting the nature center and holding snakes, turtles and iguanas. I am including one of the pictures of Lia with her Fu sisters, as we call them, in the shirts they all made with each other's handprints on them.
