Our baby is one - happy birthday Chloe!!

Well today was a big day for little Miss Chloe. Not only was it her first birthday, but she started celebrating the day by being dedicated at church this morning. Then Grandma and Grandpa H, Auntie Di, Makayla, Uncle Bob, Robert, Adam, Nana, Papa and Auntie Sheryl and Ava all came to the service and then everyone but Auntie Sheryl and Ava came back to our house for lunch and cake and presents. Chloe got two beautiful dolls from her grandparents and her aunts/uncles and cousins which I know she will love! We used one of our Chinese candles which you light and then it sends up fireworks and plays the Happy Birthday song. Chloe was most intrigued by it all!

You may notice in the pictures that Chloe has a big bandage on her right hand. This week we were visiting my parents and Chloe got too near their old dog (who has always hated kids) and he bit her on her hand. Luckily her hand is healing well now despite the fact that she couldn't get any stitches in it because it was a dog bite. Our two dogs are so great with her that I think she just thought all doggies were that friendly. Usually we watch her like a hawk but somehow this time we didn't realize she had crawled toward him so quickly and we didn't get to her in time. Poor little Chloe!

We are so grateful to be able to share Chloe's birthday with her this year. And we feel so blessed to have her as our daughter! Happy Birthday Chloe!!!
