Well we received an e-mail this morning that our consulate appt. in Guangzhou has been set for Sept. 23rd. That's one day off the date that five years ago (Sept. 24th) we were at the American consulate doing our paperwork to finish our adoption for Lia. So it will be total deju vu for us.
We will leave for China on Sept. 8th and return home on Sept. 25th. We will meet Chloe for the first time on Sept. 11th (see God is redeeming that date and from now on Sept. 11th will have a good memory for us). Yes, for all of you with good memories that means we are actually going to be in China a couple of days longer on this trip then when we adopted Lia. On Lia's trip we left on Sept. 11th, got Lia on Sept. 14th and returned home on Sept. 26th. So our trip to get Chloe means eighteen LONG days without Lia. We would really appreciate your prayers that time will pass quickly while we are apart from each other!
And for all those that are wondering what about my sister - we are all booked on the same flights together and we will all be traveling together! That is definitely a huge answer to prayer because our agency's travel advisor said she really had to work with the American Consulate to squeeze in one more family so we could all stay together. And they did - YAY!
