Tonight the director Chloe's orphanage came to get the digital camera. It was so sweet to see him with the two girls. It was so obvious that he knew them both very well and he loved them very much. These are the first two babies that have ever been referred from this orphanage ever. They have six more who are "paper ready" meaning their files are in with the CCAA to be adopted internationally. He liked the digital camera very much and he said he would take some pictures with it and send them to us. And he took a couple of pictures with our two families to take back with him to show the orphanage staff. We feel so lucky that Chloe was at such a lovely orphanage (like Lia was too) where she was so well cared for! Our guide Michelle asked him about this crazy digital hair they put on their referral pictures. He said they did it because the baby's hair was sticking up and they thought maybe it looked wierd. So they had to work very hard to find someone who knew Photoshop to add the digital hair. I think Michelle told him that the families did not mind if they saw pictures with hair sticking up for future reference : ))
I'm having trouble with Blogger tonight so I'll have to add the pictures tomorrow. We leave the hotel at 11:30 a.m for the airport so I should have time.

Sounds like things are going really well. Love to see so many prayers answered. Your time with the director from Chloe's orphanage sounds precious. What a great idea to give the orphanage a camera! Wouldn't that be something if Chloe is potty trained before Ava - maybe she can give her a few lessons. :-) Hope you have a great trip to Guangzhou tomorrow.
Blessings,
Sheryl
What a great gift to the orphanage! Hopefully, many families will benefit from the pictures they take. It must be hard for them to understand that we don't care if the baby even has hair! We would love them no matter what. The potty-training business is quite interesting. DB was so easy to train, but she wasn't as young as Chloe and I didn't know about the "whistling" part. LOL I hope you have a pleasant trip to Guangzhou. We felt like we were almost home when we finally got there. Can't wait to see more pictures. So glad you are blogging while you are there.
